2015 and beyond

The year 2015 will bring several new titles and re-releases to print from Phelps, along with television appearances and other major projects (both film and print) Phelps is currently working on. In August 2015, TO LOVE AND TO KILL publishes. It is a book about Emilia Carr, Joshua Fulgham, and the senseless and vicious torture and murder of Heather Strong in Ocala, Florida. The depravity and pathos involved in this true story will stay with readers long after turning the last page.

June 30, 2015, brought the paperback publication of THE KILLING KIND.

Phelps would like to share how honored he is that Dartmouth College Press/University Press of New England’s ForeEdge imprint published a new, trade paperback edition of NATHAN HALE in March 2015. To have one of his books on ForeEdge’s spring list is a rewarding and honorable experience for Phelps.

In February 2016, Phelps will publish the definitive account of Jennifer “Hiccup Girl” Mee. That book, ONE BREATH AWAY, looks at Jennifer Mee’s entire life story and what led her down a path to murder. The book also takes a close look into the abyss of the celebrity-driven culture we live in today and what the cost of being a reality star truly is.

Phelps’s book, IF THEY ONLY KNEW, slated for publication in early 2017, focuses on the incredible case of Vonlee (Nicole) Titlow and Billie Jean Rogers out of Troy, Michigan.

Phelps is currently working on a book about psychopath killer Kimberly Cargill.

If you have information about any of these cases or an idea for future case please contact Phelps directly.

If you’ve survived the wrath of a serial killer, murder attempt on your life or a violent episode and want to share it with readers, please email Phelps. He is interested in speaking with crime victim survivors for an eBook project series called SHE SURVIVED.

A personal note from Phelps:

Thank you for visiting my website. I would like to humbly express my deepest gratitude and thank each and every reader and television viewer personally for buying my books and/or tuning into my television appearances. I know you have choices, and I feel as though I am the luckiest, most blessed person alive. I never take what I do for granted. I look forward to the years to come and the great stories I aim to tell, and the potential cases we might shed new light on together. My fans are the most important part of what I do.

Furthermore, several of the cases we have profiled on DARK MINDS have led to genuine, productive tips I have passed along to law enforcement, viagra online suspects and “breaks” in the cases. We ARE making a difference! Please continue to spread word. The public can solve crimes!

Please join me on Twitter and Facebook and keep up with everything going on—two places on the web where you can find the latest info about me and what’s happening in real time. Don’t be afraid to send me a greeting or reminder of the type of crime stories you’d like me to cover in book form or on television. I may not write back to every person that contacts me, but I read every email and letter.

Again, thank you for believing! I owe a great debt to each reader.

My very best,
M. William Phelps

On November 1, 2014, along with Aprille White Falletti and the Vernon (CT) Police Department, I was able to erect a memorial for Lisa Joy White, who has been missing for forty years from the Rockville section of Vernon, CT. The memorial is located at Talcottville Park in Rockville, CT, near the last spot Lisa was seen. Many of you might recognize Lisa as being one of the girls I featured in an episode of Dark Minds and wrote about for Connecticut Magazine, both pieces titled “Blonde, Blue-eyed & Gone …”

Lisa Joy White left 108 Prospect Street in Rockville and walked east toward the center of town on November 1, 1974, at approximately 8:00/8:30 PM. She was never seen again.

For me, the missing person’s case of Lisa Joy White involves a promise I made to a neighbor and friend, the late Judi Kelly, Lisa’s mother, some years ago. I told Judi that I would do what I could to help find her daughter. Erecting that memorial was another portion of that promise fulfilled. I am privileged and humbled to be able to take part in giving Lisa’s memory a permanent place in her community. A crime victim was honored and memorialized on the day we celebrated the memorial. With that simple stone and etching, a crime victim took back her dignity and now has a lasting place in the community. Lisa is immortalized—she is not floating anymore, wandering. Anyone walking by the memorial will be introduced to Lisa’s story. For that and the honor of knowing Lisa’s family, I am entirely and infinitely grateful.
